about

I wrote this song about a conversation that I believe Mother Earth and human beings are having on a daily basis. The premise of the song is to express that although we are continually destroying the planet, Mother Nature still loves us. We just need to learn to love her back instead of believing that one day we will find somewhere else to go.

lyrics

My trust is broken and you've taken all I have to give to you
and it keeps breaking my heart
Don't think I haven't noticed all those rotten things you do
And oh you're breaking my heart
You know I love you
I don't want to see you leave
but you bear my burdens to
You can hear it when I'm crying in the wind and the rain
you bear my burdens to.

I'm sorry momma for drinking up and burning you're blood
I didn't mean you no harm
It's just that I've got this way of spreading out all over
And this is only the start
Because arrogant as I, believe Momma that you're not the only one
That I can spread my wings and fly away and call home

And Momma I sure hope to God that it's true
Cuz otherwise I'ma burn down in the flames with you
I've gone too far down, I cannot cut you loose
And yes I'm gonna burn down, Oh Lord.

I think it's time son I asked you to start feeling
You know we're always growing older

No not yet momma, I can't feel a thing right now
I do not have the means yet, to think, to know

Collective thought will cast light above the dawn tomorrow,
you only reap what the mind will sew

I know I messed up Momma it's just that thing I got called Money
It makes me eat more than you grow.

And I'm praying for the day
when the ark gets made and we all hop on two by two

Yes I'm praying for the day when the ark gets made
and we can all fly home

I'm gonna fly home.

and momma I sure hope to god that it's true
Cuz otherwise I'ma burn down in the flames with you
I've gone too far down, I cannot cut you loose
and yes I'm gonna burn down Oh lord
Yes I'm gonna burn down, Oh Lord.
and I'm burning out
